Participants need to realize how ugly this could turn for them. Serious fines and jail time could follow.

Spot on. I am all for civil disobedience, but in today's climate it must be both massive and well organized. And people need to count the cost of what they may face.

I concur....I am not really sure it is a ‘good idea’ (at this stage of the game) to physically pick up and remove the barricades and carry them down the street.
It just gives ‘THEM’ a chance to charge you with ‘stealing’ Govt Property etc...
As to the snipers on the WH roof, SOP, and they would NOT be doing their job if an ANGRY MOB was bearing down on them. Get to many people together and it only takes one or two agitators or plants to get things going in the opposite direction of the original plan.
It is up to the ‘organizers/group marshals’ to try and squelch any activity going off center.
Nice comment - these barakacades would be nice to lean against the WH fence etc etc etc...I don’t really think that is anywhere near a good idea...(AT least not at this point)....
Today is supposed to be peaceful, and hopefully people will police there own areas so ‘we’ don’t leave the area looking like it was OWS idiots...remember they had to clean the camps out so they could be hosed down and fumigated...EVEN the cities rats wanted nothing to do with those darlings...

THAT said

UP YOURS BO, STFU and get out of OUR LIVES.

"I am all for civil disobedience, but in today's climate it must be both massive and well organized. And people need to count the cost of what they may face."

So what? The Occupy Movement and many other subversive org supporters and celebrities have gone to jail for simple misdemeanors. Trespassing is a low level misdemeanor - it means little on your record.

So go to jail for a couple of hours for chaining ourselves (Vets mostly) together. You sit in a drunk tank (been there) until you make bail and later pay $200 or so in fines. It means nothing, but if enough Patriots did it, it would make the news.

Yes, I know that our kind have jobs. So join a protest on a weekend and call in sick on Monday if the local magistrate won't hear your case over the weekend.

Massive civil disobedience is our last hope before the shooting starts. I'm willing. In fact, I will start it if only I could find a dedicated group here in SoCal or elsewhere.

However, like I said in another thread, if the jackboots man-handled just one injured Veteran for moving a stupid 3 foot barrycade, I'll use my own money to go there and pitch such a bitch, it would get on TV. Doubt even Obambi or Holder have the balls to fight against Veterans. Other than their most ardent commie supporters, most would be outraged.

My bona fides. I'm a simple aviation Navy Veteran of 11 years (1975-1986). Let them dig up my dirt, I don't care. If Bill Clinton can get BJ's in the White House, my history is no worse.

It's time for us Veterans to make a statement while incurring the wrath of the authorities. Anyone here has the cojones to deal with it?
