[history]
A correspondent for the New Yorker unwittingly unleashed a wave of fury on Twitter after he posted a derogatory profiling of Sen. Ted Cruz, likening the Texas tea party favorite to a celebrity athlete who beat murder charges.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan |

Ryan Lizza tweeted on Mr. Cruzs appearance on the National Mall: Ted Cruz going to the Mall protest today and railing against gov shutdown is like O.J. Simpson searching for the real killers.
I thought that most of the libs who hate Ted Cruz think OJ was innocent?

This is such utter idiocy that perhaps the response should be even more irrational.
“Ryan Lizza is a racist for comparing president Obama to O.J. Simpson!”

You’re driving them right into the straitjackets.
Keep it up brother!

I think the left and establishment rinos are scared of Cruz. He is a threat to their power. He can shake things up by bringing the conservative and Hispanic vote together.

One more time: there is no “Hispanic vote” because there is no such thing as a Hispanic. There is no “Hispanic food” or “Hispanic music” - the Spanish-speaking people in the U.S. are from different countries, of different races, different ethnicities, different social strata. Half-breed Mexican Indians who love Fidel Castro are not going to vote for an educated white man who is the son of a Cuban. Please wake up.

Right on. Conservatives need to stop using the phrase “Twitter explodes” — it almost deifies that vehicle of mass expression of emotion.
