You know? I was just thinking today.....it wasn’t very long ago when we were pushing for WAR with Syria.....now, its not even discussed.
And speaking about going to war with Syria, how in the heck would we have been able to wage a war when we cannot pay for anything?

You are right—we haven’t heard a peep about Syria in the media for weeks or even months. One would tend to think that nothing is happening, but I’m sure that’s far from the case.
The MSM tend to think that if they don’t report it, it didn’t happen. Rather like the march on DC yesterday.

You guys see this?
House Republicans sidelined, Durbin says
House Republicans are no longer a part of negotiations to end the standoff in Washington, Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin said Sunday.
Weve reached the point where House Republicans and their leadership have stepped to the sidelines, the Illinois Democrat said on NBCs Meet the Press, knocking the House GOP for what he characterized as shifting demands. Theyre not part of this, he said.
Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), meanwhile, blamed President Barack Obama for the standoff over reopening the government and raising the debt limit.
The president has refused to negotiate, Portman said. Its unbelievable.
Portman also echoed other Republicans who indicated in interviews Sunday that the fight was now about spending.
Youve got to deal with the underlying problem, which is the spending problem, Portman said.
