No, Senate Republicans are the traitors... for accepting a plan with no real change in the first place. No way anyone was going to let the government not pay a bill.

Tea Party needs to focus on not only increasing numbers in the house, but taking back and increasing its caucus in the senate next election

A short message to those wanting to pummel any Republican. Take your aggression out in the primary. Let that event be your "message".

I couldn't care less about giving a "message", and I have other ways of taking my aggression out. I will vote against any non-conservative Republican because they are just as much the enemy of conservatism as any Democrat. At least a quarter of Republicans feel this way, and we won't change our minds out of a misguided belief that our liberal is better than their liberal.

The Republican party just committed political suicide, if this report is accurate.

Obama must be a little bit disappointed by this last minute deal. Its passage negates his plan for a complete takeover by simply declaring martial law. Eerything was conveniently falling into place for him to do that.

Now he’ll have to manufacture another crisis to accomplish this. Just a slight delay, but it did temporarily side track his plans. /sarc

The dow is up 200 points. Life is good. :). We live in a democracy and we’re outnumbered. We have to understand where things are going and plan to be sucessful. Adapt, adjust, overcome, and be sucessful. It is what it is. We still vote and campaign on principle. But we have to understand the reality.

He has already said he would not seek another term as Speaker. Nothing to lose.

Boehner is planning on letting GOP vote first on Senate bill. The purpose of this is to shield RINOs from appearing as the deciding vote that ensures the cave. Pelosi's caucus will fly cover for them.

The defeatists I was talking about are all the inside the beltway “conservative” intelligentsia who will claim that Cruz’s strategy was bad. It was not. I am supporting Cruz and defending his actions. It has had an enormous benefit to the conservative cause, not a bad one.

The shutdown and debt ceiling are good for one thing: showing low information voters that their god is fallible. The checks may indeed stop. They are waking them up to the fact that government cannot always take care of them so they should not be dependent upon it for forever.

Did the Dems preemptively surrender when they were in the minority? No, they fought for every inch of political turf. Only the loser GOP runs from every battle. Stop excusing their pathetic and invisible leadership.

Nice rant. So what’s your plan?

I told you what my plan was: to oppose non-conservative Republicans in both the primary and the general election. As far as "ranting"? I have not begun to rant, but I will let you know when I do.

“Not being blamed for default.
40% of the population not rioting come November 1’s EBT shutdown.”

You’re wrong on both counts.

Not raising the debt ceiling will not cause a default.

Nov 1 will not shut down the EBT system, -or even Dec 1st, unless the Dems choose to do so.

Lies and liberals.
