They overstepped. Simple. Point?

Nope, they fought for what is right.

I dare say you would have been a nay-sayer during the Revolution of 1776 as our side lost battle after battle, but in the end won the war.

They resolutely stuck to their principles in spite of facing the world's super-power and losing many battles.

They fought for what is right, in the face of overwhelming odds.
