I would say it is pretty far gone here. Remember, Christie was elected in large part because people hated Corzine. Also, his was one of those elections that was a reaction to Obama’s 2008 win, along with the VA governor and Scott Brown. I just voted Lonegan, and I would be very happy to be very wrong about the outcome, but I doubt it will happen.
Christie was elected because of high taxes (which is also why he isn’t facing any serious challengers for re-election); NJ property owners have had enough. As long as the state is in horrible shape, the Dems will have to fight for it; our underclass is miserable as well, and high unemployment ensures they will be for years to come.
