Actually, this is not true.

They wanted the debt ceiling raised for a year, they wanted a reversal of sequestration, they wanted the union fee for O-care removed and they didn't want income verification.

The bill was mostly neutral.

What about the provision in this "compromise" Levin was talking about that changes the way future debt ceilings are voted on?

As I understand it would automatically allow for the debt ceiling to be raised whenever Obama wants it and it would require 2/3 majority to stop it.
