CNN ^ | 10/17/13 | Byron Wolf

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell denied slipping a special provision into a deal he co-engineered to end the 16-day government shutdown and end a showdown over raising the nation's debt ceiling.

And the longtime Republican Senator from Kentucky had an admonishment for Republicans whose sole focus is the "impossible dream" of ending Obamacare.

Worked great in Indiana. We traded an 80% Republican for a 97% Democrat! I’m sure Kentucky can be equally successful. The media loves to shred Tea Party candidates. Whoever replaces old McC in the general election better be d@mn good, like a Ted Cruz.

The difference is Dems support their lighweights candidates 100%. The GOP establishment does not if they are conservative. They are happy to push their own air heads on us like Connie Mack but we never get a mulligan. Why is that?

someone should tell McConnell that obamacare can and SHOULD be unfunded or repealed. It is completely un-constitutional

Even if you take Mitch at his word, he did include the section that relinquished Congressional control over the debt limit, handing it over to the President. That is far worse, in the long run, than any petty (well, no so petty) porkbarrel graft

RINOs on ending or defunding Obamacare, “impossible dream”, “bridge too far”, “fools errand”, “Democrats weren’t going to blink”, ... Anybody see any more to add to the excuse list?

McConnell is pulling absolutist BS here. There was plenty of space for fall back plans of attack once defund wasn’t in the cards. What about the Vitter amend, Mitch? Personal exemption delay? The old fool never even fought against ANYTHING in obamacare. Were they all impossible dreams also, Mitch? What an asshat he is.

The real problem is that so many people get something for nothing (at least they think they do) from the government. Nobody wants to give up his place at the trough.

Walter Williams said he has been asked to run for office many times, and he asked how far he would get when he told people he wouldn’t bring home any pork.

“I’m one of the biggest opponents of the Obama administration, but when the country is on the brink, I’ve stepped in on four occasions now” and brought the country back, added McConnell.
.........................................................
I have stepped in 4 times and sold Republicans out, said McConnell. and if they leave me here I will sell them out again.

He got his pay and sure the Democrats will help him deny it, after all they paid him.

He should be arrested for treason and imprisoned for the rest of his life. Effing Traitor!

Imprisoning him would be too kind. True justice would require charging the family for the rope, then seize ALL his assets.

evil men like McConnel and McCain are helping to utterly destroy our Republic.

The entire political class should all be rounded up and put in the middle of the desert to fend for themselves.
