Look at it this way -- early in 2014, if we go toe-to-toe with Obama and demand something in return for a compromise -- will he blink? Why on earth would he ever consider blinking??? He's never had to do it before.
No. He will make demands. And that's that. He'll take a firmer stand next time than he did this time, because he knows -- KNOWS -- we will cave.
Exactly. Know your enemy before engaging them in a fight. The Democrats , from the president to Nancy Pelosi, knows the GOP leadership will cave in after a relentless pr assault on them carried out by their willing media allies and their own vicious verbal attacks. That’s why they will always play hardball on them because they know Boehner and McConnell will not push back. The GOP will never learn. The Democrats bully the GOP because they know they can and until our side learns to fight back we’re all screwed.
