I wasn't picking any fight. I was pointing out what I thought was faulty thinking.

I have no idea who should get the job. I don't know who has the best ideas, the personality, connections, AND legislative skills to get the ideas implemented. People are enthusiastic about Cruz, for example, (and I like a lot of his ideas too) but has he ever been able to get a bill passed?

I think that too often people think that speaking ability thru the media is all you need (I'm not singling you out...I don't know if you think this). This is a very, very common problem on the right IMO.

As far as I know, there is no requirement for it to be a sitting member of the house even though that has always been the case. I think Allen West would be a great choice due to his directness.

I don’t see how the answer to that question affects the need to replace every one of those House members listed.

With more conservatives, they ought to be putting someone with more guts than is currently there.

Pat95, you are correct, the Constitution does not address whether or NOT the person elected Speaker of the House has to be a member of the House of Representatives.

I’m not referring to a need or not to replace the people listed, but to find out who those that say “get rid of Boehner” think should be his replacement.

I want to spur folks to think of the next stage after “Kick XXX” out of his position: Who is the person to replace “XXX” that will achieve the goals the person wants accomplished.

This line of thought is from my 20 years in the Army, where if you see a problem, you need to propose a solution/correction to fix it.

And I’m also frustrated with those who rail against Boehner, yet don’t recommend a replacement. And for whomever is his replacement, what will their strategy have to be against a president whose definition of the word negotiation is “unconditional surrender of his opponent.” And of a president who is willing to destroy the nation rather than to actually change any of his demands.

I thought what Mark Steyn said yesterday is relevant. He said Obama considers himself the head of a “Presidential Republic” rather than a federal one. He won the election, and that’s the only election that really counts. What he says goes and other opinions simply do not factor in the equation. There are no checks and balances in his mind.

We must replay John as speaker first. We must make the case that he is an ineffectual leader with no creditably and therefore incapable of leading us forward.

He failed to uses the basic power of the purse to restrain government. His reason for failing is anther problem entirely.

Your going to have to, right now that military is Increasingly Obama’s puppet as more and more of our patriotic personnel are replaced with government drones willing to do whatever is requested of them regardless of the limits of the law.

Let us be frank Friends of liberty, the longer Obama is in office the more likely those weapons will be used against us rather than our enemy’s.

Let us not pay for the rope that will seek to hang us. We must shift our Defense assets to State command-able forces.

With respect for your opinion sir/ma’am, that is a cop out answer. It is akin to punishing a loyal son in the family because the father has a drinking problem. It is also an insult to our men and women who serve in the military, and have endured back to back deployments in the last many years while Americans watched Bravo TV and went to the mall.

I think it should be Steve King. He has a moderate position on the farm bill, ethanol, wind and other issues so he could play that to get enough votes and is from a swing state like Boehner and Cantor.
