One man got too much insurance on health-care exchange
The Columbus Dispatch ^ | October 19, 2013 | By: Ben Sutherly

Signing up for health coverage through the new federally run online marketplace has been futile for many Ohioans since the healthcare.gov website launched on Oct. 1.

But as one Franklin County man found out, enrollees who make it through the marketplace sign-up process sometimes encounter a glitch when they hit the enroll button.

The man, who was signing up for a marketplace plan offered by Medical Mutual of Ohio, got to the end of the process, hit that button and got an error message. He repeated the process and again got an error message.

All told, he completed the process three times.

What he didn’t know was that, despite the error message, he had successfully enrolled — three times.

And in the process, he actually signed up for two Medical Mutual plans.

They got all of his contact information for the commuity organizers at ACORN. That was the important part.

Just think.... Even if this POS plan would have worked/functioned as intended, it would have been a mess, destined to eventually collapse under its own weight. With all of these problems piled on top of it, what we are looking at is a very expensive unmitigated disaster.

IMAGINE the cries we would hear from the liberals if this were all being done with a Republican in the White House!!

So many DBM articles address the train wreck like it’s nothing more than a teeny weeny scratch.

Compare the DBM’s tone toward GWB after Katrina to the soft pedal tone during the Nobamacare roll out.

I love the comments at the Dispatch.
There are none.

Considering that the Dems say the public wants this crap, and that we say people don’t want this crap, I find the general publics apathy toward the matter to be stunning.

Good grief. At most the web site should have cost a million bucks.

This shows how really stupid and inept community organizers are who populate their nearby space all the time with other community organizers, thugs, hip hop dummies, a racist and mean wife, academics who have never met a payroll or created a dollar and in general the losers and dregs of Chicago bust-out type politics. They think they are infallible gods who can even change the weather because they know better.

Heck, there are probably millions out there that still have no clue they have to buy it and don’t understand it anyway. Many don’t care because they aren’t going to do it because they don’t want it.

Sometimes you can dumb down and offer too many bread and circuses to the point of creating ignorance too great to understand what it is supposed to do when “nudged”. Unnudgable Ignorance

Products of intended consequences that backfire. If only progressives could control people with a start stupid button and stop stupid button. They would like that.

And, when asked for the number of successful enrollments via the health insurance exchange website, the Department of HHS will count this guy three times.

Overly complicated; the website as well as the concept. Cracks me up because we where told it would work just like travelocity. Hahaha.

The important thing is, should he ever require an abortion, he’s covered! I mean, after the $7,500 deductible, of course.

The interesting thing is all the talk about setting up a post-disaster roll over to single payer.

How would they pull that off? Wouldn't it require a similar architecture?

Just watch, now every time he cancels a policy the IRS will be notified and he’ll be hit three times by the John Roberts “tax”.

Hey! The important thing is, they got his checking account and bank routing number, so they can successfully withdraw both of the premiums every month!

"Win!"

I guess he’s about to find out if there’s criminal penalties for registering more than once with Obamacare. Too bad it was a computer error on their part. As they say ignorance of the law is no defense, all 15,000 pages!

Products of intended consequences that backfire. If only progressives could control people with a start stupid button and stop stupid button. They would like that.

They soon figure that out after they complete power.

That's why they quickly install their secret police, torture chambers, secret courts with no legal rights, gulags, and legions of informers. When that is done, the people finally "get it" and modify their behavior accordingly.

Then, the progressives can push the proper buttons and get the reactions they like.

I think we have uncovered what Obama was referring to:

ObamaCare = Man Made Disaster

“There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.” - Ayn Rand
