U.S. Selling Bonds to ItselfTo Underwrite Obamacare

One of the most hackneyed lines in the apparently endless and sterile partisan tug-of-war in Washington is this sanctimonious claptrap about Obamacare being “the law of the land” and that it therefore must not be obstructed. Anyone resorting to such pious invocations of the law in the United States should be subject to a potential penalty (applied only in the most extreme cases) of the extraction of the tongue with red-hot tongs.

No, it’s underwriting the market (you know those folks that have money to invest). They could care less what happens to the common folks. Yeah, you could in a pinch say that they are protecting the 401K’s but in reality, that is bunk, they are protecting business.

The United States has 5% of the world’s people, 25% of its incarcerated people, and half of its trained lawyers (who now take about 10% of the GDP); the legal system is an embarrassment, and the criminal-justice system is a disgrace...

Couldn't get past this...

ObamaCare is a pretend law that required extra-Constitutional activities to implement. The law was passed without reading it, bribes were used to pass it, and special considerations were given to certain states who were waffling. Some religions and Unions were exempted.

The SCOTUS violated the “origination” concept of the creation of taxes - taxes can only originate in the House. But, in this case, it came to the SCOTUS as a mandate to purchase a product or service and SCOTUS tortuously morphed it into a tax.

Then, after the President signed it, he changed some sections, refused to enforce some sections, and delayed some sections - all in violation of the law itself, and breaking other laws and Constitutional processes. It is not even the same law Roberts ruled on, it has change so much.

It is not the Law of the Land, it is a Law of Won Man.

The nation is going through the puking, shakes, sweating, and convulsions of Hopium withdrawal. Let’s detox the country of this dangerous social drug. Let the healing begin before a second Civil War starts.

Where is the second fight in front of SCOTUS? If we are stuck with this law for 3 more years, there won’t be a country left to save. We can’t wait in hopes of a Republican President - we need to act NOW.

“The United States has 5% of the world’s people, 25% of its incarcerated people”

A lot of those other countries keep the incarceration numbers down through summary execution.

http://iroots.org/2012/07/28/obama-like-father-like-son-100-taxes/

Dreams from his father: “Theoretically, there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed. . . It is a fallacy to say there is a limit (to tax rates), and it is a fallacy to rely mainly on individual free enterprise to get the savings.”

No, they’re not......yet. The serious withdrawals haven’t started and they’re too stupid, and uninformed, to recognize the onset.

“The American people are the greatest talent pool in the world; this is a system that has always worked adequately and often well. It is a democracy, and in a democracy the people are always right and they get the government they deserve.”

As our Framers knew very well, democracies are unstable in practice and suffer violent deaths.

At this rate, it will take over 21 years to get the estimated 40 million people signed up. The penalties for not signing up begin in January.

If a private company did this they would be hearing from the state attorney general’s office.
Or from Eric Holder’s people for a kickback.

Check kiting is a form of check fraud, involving taking advantage of the float to make use of non-existent funds in a checking or other bank account. In this way, instead of being used as a negotiable instrument, checks are misused as a form of unauthorised credit.
Kiting is commonly defined as intentionally writing a check for a value greater than the account balance from an account in one bank, then writing a check from another account in another bank, also with non-sufficient funds, with the second check serving to cover the non-existent funds from the first account.

Haven’t we been selling bonds to ourselves for a long time now? The Chicoms refused to buy them several years ago, I thought.

  1. The Federal Reserve is the largest buyer of US Bonds (US Treasury notes)
  2. The Federal Reserve is a privately owned bank so we are not selling bonds to ourselves
  3. The Chinese do not buy our bonds anymore
  4. Since 2010 China has decreased its ownership of US bonds
  5. ---
  6. ---
  7. lastly---- The Federal Reserve seems friendly enough right now but being a privately owned entity that can and will turn around and bite us some day and the FR can make all kinds of demands on the Federal Government due to the money owed them
  8. Maybe they will demand Federal lands in Alaska and California where you can drill and exploit oil reserves

Apparently the current goal in this country is to drive ninety percent of us nuts with absurd legislation.

This is where more than $1 trillion extra debt each year is going to come from. Get used to $2 trillion deficits and a national debt growing at a 10% rate. We’ll be past $20 trillion end of next year.

As should we. Sex offenders used to be put to death for good reason.

Thanks to alloysteel for this excellent History reminder lesson:

"After all, Prohibition was the law of the land (under the 18th Amendment), and the politics of its widespread loss of respect for the law resulted in its repeal (21st Amendment).

The 21st Amendment did not totally end Prohibition. The individual states could then vote in local option for either being “wet” or “dry”. But the power was stripped from the Federal government to enforce prohibition anywhere.

How was that for repeal and replace?
