We are beyond the days when we could expect justice from the Courts. I wouldn’t have said a word, I’d make sure he didn’t live too much longer though.
Your buddies were attempting to defraud the rulers of their share of the financial gains. That’s much different than committing an act of violence. Far more serious.
Pretty much
To #13 and #19:
My state of Virginia has crime, like every other state, but not on the scale of viciousness that is endemic to California.
Most of our horrible crimes are due to gangs, drugs, or psychos, but they are not a weekly occurrence.
When I read the crime articles here at FR and also the links to other crimes in the same city/area, I see that California ranks right up there with Philadelphia, E. St. Louis, Chicago, and Oakland, among other Democratic playgrounds.
From the website “philly.com, 4/27/2009, “Two held in killing of S. Phila. friends”. “The killers knew they had the wrong kids, according to police. But they shot anyway”.
Shooters, Anthony Stachell, 16 and Derek Barnes, 19. Victims Harvey Lewis, 15, “a cadet in the police Explorers program” and Dominque Smith, 18”.
“They showed no remorse, (Capt. James) Clark said.
The killers had a “beef” with “others in the area” so they assumed Lewis and Smith were in that group. When they saw that they weren’t, they killed them anyway, shot them in the back.
One example, even though old, of the viciousness of the crimes being committed on the streets of our cities and mainly in states that either do not have a death penalty, have one but don’t use it, or don’t execute teenagers.
Here in Virginia, we execute murderers, not let them out, that is unless Terry McAuliffe, the Democrat Thug from New York wins, in which case, its’ open season on humanity without any real punishment.
Read about the two killers in Florida who forged passes to get out of prisoner. Luckily there were caught today before they could kill anyone.
We do not take crime seriously in many parts of the US including California. Just found an old article about how the leftist politicians tried to postpone a case before the Supreme Court re the death penalty so that the anti-DP judge Bird might win the seat of Chief Justice of the California SC and abolish capital punishment.
The mindset that lets vicious killers live is a mindset that says that prison staff and medical personnel, and the people on the street, are fair game for those who have absolutely no respect for life, and who will kill again and again( inside the prison or if they escape), until they are killed.
We’ve had a couple cases like that in the DC area in the past (i.e. the murder of Dr. Halberstam by an escaped murderer who had also murdered his cellmate in a high security Chicago prison. If he had been executed for being the cold blooded killer that he was, two lives would have been saved.
[[PS: I’m not talking about circumstantial evidence case; only clearcut “he did it” ones]].
I have an AA (Certificate, equivalent to a degree) in Police Science and my son is a federal police officer. I’ve worked on a federal Organized Crime Task Force (the Gottis and Gambinos, among others), as well as a major terrorism case. I know something about crime and I know that we are no dealing with it the way it should be done, just like we refused to fight in Vietnam (I was there), Iraq (my son fought there)(until Fallujah II), and Afghanistan.
It is the unrealistic mindset of too many Americans that are placing us all in harms way, while those who do the planning live in gated communities and Ivory Towers, or have govt provided body guards.
The rest of us are often left to fend for ourselves.
How long before these judges and parole board members are treated like the monsters they are??
encouraging your kids to sleep their way onto TV?
The media doesn't hire people who doesn't share their "values", they will blacklist them.
