Yeah right...because other people had a horrible, disgusting, smelly, unhealthful habit which they inflicted on people who never asked them to do it, the people forced to inhale other people’s disgusting smoke should have sought another job. Great reasoning. By the way, I’m all for private establishments like bars and restaurants being allowed to have smoking on their premises. I won’t frequent those places, but since it is private property, they can set whatever rules they want.

<......”I’m all for private establishments like bars and restaurants being allowed to have smoking on their premises. I won’t frequent those places, but since it is private property, they can set whatever rules they want”.....>

But you “did” have the choice to frequent there or go elsewhere...banning this gives ‘nobody a choice’. Which is the point....the gov. should not be dictating to business who they allow in their businesses or not.

>As for what your parents did...it was indeed their home to do as they pleased as with all parents....smoking isn’t the only bad influence on a child or what happens to children. But either or it’s never the childrens choice.<

I know a number of parents who smoke. But, they do not smoke inside the home. You are right, it’s a choice, but kudos to those parents who take the health of their kids into consideration, while enjoying their choice to use tobacco products.

it solves a lot of things. It makes sure that you pay more money to the state and the state gets control over life and death. isn’t that a lot of solving?

A person can indulge in anything they want to, food, ice cream and cake and a host of other things and I am not affected by them at all. They can drink all they want and if they stay out of their car, I am not troubled by them.

But smoking in public does bother everyone around them, maybe it isn't dangerous or deadly but it is defiantly annoying. I will try not to annoy you you and I hope you will try not to annoy me.

Great pic there caww!

After reading through this thread, I gotta say, there sure are a bunch of crybabies here! I’m still waiting for the medical proof on 2nd hand smoke, last I read, there was no definitive evidence.

If there is one type of person I avoid, it’s the smug non smoker who believes they’ve changed the world for the better. I wonder, should we petition that pot never ever be smoked around others? I find the smell nauseating, I find the attitude superior and I generally believe they should be forced to smoke their weed in private! How is that going to work out?!

Our stupid government keeps doing their best to kill the golden goose. They are schitzophrenic (sp) demanding higher and higher taxes, implementing bans and all the while putting out anti smoking ads. Which do they want? The money that comes from the taxing or a world void of all smoke? I can’t figure it out.
