Gov. Chris Christie announced today that he was dropping the fight against same-sex marriage in New Jersey by withdrawing his his appeal of a major case that was being heard by the state Supreme Court.

Across the state, gay couples have been getting married today for the first time in New Jersey after the Supreme Court refused on Friday to delay the first weddings while it heard Christie's appeal of a lower-court ruling that legalized gay marriage last month.

Christie said the court, in rejecting his plea for a stay, had made strong statements that settled the larger case.

The establishment used to count on all of us always considering the republican as being “the lesser of two evils.”

I think those days are over.

Any government that regards two homo pervs as being the identical of a man-and-wife is a government I place no legitimacy in.

Anybody who thinks this guy would make a good president, has rocks for brains. He’s not presidential material.

Paul and Rubio have already bowed to the elites.

If we don’t elect Cruz, America is over. Nobody else seems to have the same regard for our country and her people.

Went to an auction here in Western PA yesterday. The auctioneer, for some reason, kept making cracks about the NJ gay marriage ruling. I kept expecting the Politically Correct Police to come and arrest him at any moment.

The fact that you expected this is very revealing of our times.........................

The Republican Party can use the resentment of religious elements over persecution of those who oppose gay marriage that will result from this to get them to vote Republican with some sort of “conscience clauses”.

The GOP does not reverse anything the liberals establish by judicial or legislative means from new government programs to abortion and gay marriage.

They exploit emotions with promises of amendment and modification of what the liberal advance.
