However there are other players in the Muslim world who can benefit from Muslim-driven chaos, in Russia and elsewhere (Paris, Malmö, etc.) Saudis in particular have made some pretty active moves recently. Prince Bandar provided chemical weapons to Syrian rebels; that resulted in one big nothing and, as it seems, has hurt their little war and gave Assad the victorious finale he was trying for. Just a month before the attack Bandar secretly visited Moscow and tried to buy Syria from Putin. Putin offered him the finger instead. Now Prince Bandar is speaking about radically changing relations with the USA. (The bow was not deep enough. Next time when the King orders you to go to war for Saudi interests, be brave, ask no questions, and just do it.)

Remember Saudi prince Bandar’s visit to Moscow a few months ago.
He offered to ditch a secular regime in Syria in exchange for some $15 billion defence contracts to Russian companies and ‘protection’ for Sochi Olympics and other civilian targets against terror attacks.
