WASHINGTON (AP) — The principal contractors responsible for the federal government's troubled health insurance website say the Obama administration shares responsibility for snags that have crippled the system.

Executives of CGI Federal, which built the federal HealthCare.gov website serving 36 states, and QSSI, which designed the part that verifies applicants' income and other personal details, were testifying Thursday before the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

As the hearing began, Republican committee members said the website problems are symptomatic of deeper flaws in the Affordable Care Act, and they accused administration officials of misleading Congress with repeated assurances that the rollout was on track.

Why do people still not get this fact, Obama’s head of overseeing this (because that is what we PAY the President for - to oversee everything). He should have been more engaged in this. He can’t just vote Present like he did as Senator...he needs hands on - be there demanding people do what they should have done long before now. This is a major FAILURE of this administration........When Republicans wanted it at least delayed, he should have already been informed and said YES...the shutdown would not have happened then!

As for calls that Sebelius be fired, Daley said that would be like firing the captain of the Titanic "after the ship hit the iceberg."

Uh, last I checked, the captain of the Titanic DIED after the ship hit the iceberg. A bit more severe than a firing I'd say.

Obama is the Affirmative Action President and we’re letting him get away with it. What happened to doing the job he was sent to do? The guy has NEVER worked.

He has been and he's been getting away with it. Megyn Kelly had a great segment on yesterday of every controversy that the president first heard about through watching the news.

Evidently, the president "leads" by watching the news. He's either lying or he's as engaged in his administration as I am.

“We have to fix it not nix it!”

How cute.

An Obamacare commercial.

He can’t just vote Present like he did as Senator...

Sure he can. He's been doing it since he became The Won, and will continue to vote present until he leaves office.

He's utterly incapable of doing real work, or accepting responsibility for anything, and no one has the power to make him.

Give 0 a break — don’t expect him to play less golf and be more of a manager just because you want to enjoy the blessings of 0Care.

Just who is this old fossil Ralph Hall (Cong from Texas). Looks as though he has lost his marbles! He couldn’t ask a cogent question when he was “up.” Come on GOP Texans, you need to clean house too. This guy is an embarrassment.

They look exactly like I'd expect federal IT contractors to look.

Looks, personality, presentation skills - those are for the private sector where competitive ability is required.

These people are nominally on the other side of the contracting fence but they are no different in demeanor or mentality from their Federal cube-critter counterparts....a load of second-rate bureaucrats who sought to jump on the federal gravy train.

They've been in DC more times than they can count...attended conferences on IT standards, 'leadership' (irony alert), and of course untold hours on diversity and other leftist candyfloss.

They expected to cash in on their political connections and never anticipated being hauled up to explain their slipshod product.

Let us hope their frowns last for a very long time.

Fidel Castro announced to the world that he was a Communist two years after seizing power in Cuba. When is Obama coming out of the closet? Obamacare is Communism, admit it.
