Subdued by fellow soldiers and arrested by local police, a Tennessee National Guardsman was likely to face federal charges Friday in the shooting of two of his superiors at an armory north of Memphis.
The sergeant first class, whose name was not released, had been disciplined before he opened fire with a handgun Thursday at the armory in Millington, Tenn., according to a law enforcement official who had been briefed on the case.
The official was not authorized to discuss the investigation publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
The wounded a major and a sergeant major who had both served overseas were expected to be released from a Memphis hospital soon, said Maj. Gen. Max Haston, adjutant general of the Tennessee Guard.
All three of the men were recruiters, and the shooter has been in the Guard about six or seven years, Haston said.

DemocRATS are profoundly saddened by the fact that more people weren’t shot and no one was killed.
First off it did NOT happen in Memphis, it happened at the Navy Base in Millington TN. Where the NG have their HQ. There is a 22 mile difference, only that they are in the same county is accurate. Millington is it’s own city. I know I’ve lived there 25 years.
We have moved farther from the cesspit of mempis by 22 miles over into Tipton Co.
But hubby is Ret. SCPO so we use the base.
No more than a half mile from where I used to work.
Does anyone have the name of the perp?
My, isn't that unusual? What aren't we supposed to infer from knowing his name? Clean up his online trail, perhaps?

And here:
Amos Patton has been identified as the man who shot and wounded three National Guard members in Millington Thursday.
One of Holders people.
Does seem that way. We lived in Munford for a couple of years and met some fine people there. Also worked with some outstanding individuals on the base.
