In final Virginia governor debate, Ken Cuccinelli hits Terry McAuliffe hard
Washington Times ^ | Oct 24, 2013 | David Sherfinski

Down in the polls, Republican Kenneth T. Cuccinelli on Thursday launched his sharpest attacks of Virginia’s gubernatorial campaign, accusing Terry McAuliffe of being a liar and of lacking substance while the Democrat said the attorney general’s economic plan would wreck the state’s economy.

The candidates’ third and final debate covered little new ground but was marked by increasingly sharp exchanges, with Mr. Cuccinelli saying that being in favor of jobs and education is all well and good, but that talking is different from laying out a plan.

“They’re not plans. I like those, too. I like education — I like puppies. But I don’t bring a puppy home if I don’t have a plan for how I’m going to deal with that puppy,” he said to laughter from the crowd at the Squires Student Center at Virginia Tech. “He’s all puppy and no plan.”

Breaking from normal debate protocol, Mr. Cuccinelli at one point tried to put Mr. McAuliffe on the spot, yielding 30 seconds of his time and daring his opponent to name just one “government efficiency” he would use to pay for his priorities.

Sounds like he did pretty well tonight. Why is he so behind in the polls?

Off year election—turnout is a big factor. It will be another travesty if Dems win by their ash hole voters.

accusing Terry McAuliffe of being a liar and of lacking substance

and...

Talking later about jobs, Mr. McAuliffe proposed two specific spending items — doubling the state’s research-and-development tax credit and expanding a tax credit for angel investors.

Jobs? You mean like those jobs in your make believe car factory Terry?

WACKO!

The Dem has Bloomberg anti-gun $$ and Hollywood $$ and Soros $$ to run ads against him around the clock. The one poll with the wide spread may have been backlash from the Obama govt shutdown. A more recent poll has it within the margin of error.

He may be having a last minute surge from a poll someone posted yesterday.

If you’re in Virginia, VOTE for Ken Cuccinelli. He is a solid conservative, and McAuliffe is a crook. A defeat for the DemonRats now would be devastating for their 2016 and 2014 prospects. Now is the time to turn the tide!

I been posting on as many articles about the race as I see from news station for Sarvis to do the right thing and drop out if he loves Virginia. A vote for Sarvis is a vote for McAuliffe............Darn this worries me..PRAYING

Bad week to move to VA. Bad week to give-up snorting glue. Bad week to ...

I can’t freaking believe they’ve infiltrated and compromised VA as bad as they have. Here in PA, we’re tettering-&-tottering, too, depending what happens after Corbett leaves.

Ready to pack-up and leave for Montana etc?

Rhode Island insurance scam,Terry McAuliffe faces scrutiny for electric car company.
If they elect him it means either they don’t care or he wasn’t elected with their votes.

“I like puppies. But I don’t bring a puppy home if I don’t have a plan for how I’m going to deal with that puppy,”

Oooh, that’s gonna leave a mark!

More conservatives should use a variation of that line. Lefties so often rely on warm-n-fuzzies like being for safe this and fair that, but they rarely tell us how they’re going to bring about these utopian ideals. They need to be challenged on it.

That line drew a big laugh from the audience at Virginia Tech.

This election is about progressive, socialist, big $, communist philosophy, MSM in pocket, business as usual + voter fraud

vs.

Glenn Beck said when he was recently in D.C. with the Vets at the Memorial that he talked to a lot of beltway people who were talking about real fear of Obama and his cadre. Are the people in Virginia starting to get the fear of what this President might do? Not only now, but the long term effects on our children and grandchildren? Obamacare, amnesty and gun control? Are they finally starting to 'get it' and understand his background, his mentors, his Alinsky 'community organizer' tactics?

They say people vote with their pocketbook. They need to start voting with their soul. C'mon Virginia, do some deep thinking, and show us some soul. How would The Founders from Virginia vote?

God... so sad that a commie, sleazeball, Clintonite even has a chance in Virginia. Must be all the gubmint employees that live there.

Ken Cuccinelli is a real and not phony conservative. Wonder if he is getting any help from the RNC since he’s not a RINO.

Guess the residents want more Obamacare, taxes, socialism and gun control if they vote for McAuliffe.... :-(
