A total of 13 immigrants present in the U.S. illegally were detained after authorities noticed the truck they were in was riding low.
U.S. Border Patrol agents with the Harlingen Border Patrol Station Disrupt Unit noticed a gold Ford F-250 riding low in Norias, Texas.
It all happened on Tuesday, October 22 around 10:00 at night.
Border Patrol agents noticed the truck appeared to have several occupant in the vehicle.
When approached, the vehicle came to an abrupt stop on the median and the people inside fled. The driver Romero Villarreal Jr. was arrested in connection to the smuggling scheme.
A preliminary hearing is set for Tuesday, October 29th at 1:30 p.m. before Judge Ronald Morgan.

It’s funny, the title says thirteen arrested while the article says they were detained. Is this part of Zero’s catch and release program?
I like to drive up and down the boulevard all day and all night in big cars loaded to the ground.
In the 80s, it was common to see 18 wheelers on I35 & 37 *real* low to the road. They were full of stolen cars.
The coyotes usually had pickups with camper shells.

I was stationed in. Kingsville in the early 90’s. A local TV station sent a reporter to the Nuevo Laredo Police Dept. employee parking lot. The vast majority of the personal vehicles there were stolen (sorted by VIN) from the States.
I’m all for fence-building and kicking-illegals-out any day. But I’d smuggle her anywhere she wanted to go.

Oh yeah. It’s the only place that you can still find an 83 or before Toyota 4WD besides the ME. I’ve honestly wondered if they all got stolen because you never see them here.
These people were brazen back then. I imagine it’s *much* worse now that the government won’t touch them. I think it’s almost nation wide now.
