The close-range shooting of a Stafford police officer began just after 3:30 a.m. Saturday when she happened upon a strange sight: A four-door sedan idling at a green light with its turn signal blinking.
After nearly an entire go-cycle, Officer Ann Carrizales followed the Nissan from the 12700 block of Murphy Road to a nearby mobile home park, where she pulled the car over.
She approached the vehicle with three men inside and began "asking if they were OK, if they needed anything," according to Stafford Police Department Chief Bonny Krahn. "He responded that they were on their way home from work."

BTW, just where does w0n get a BammyGun?
Prayers up for Officer Carrizales.
It’s really going to get ugly when we have 50 million of these lowlifes running around on the Freeway to Citizenship.
I can’t believe she chased them down after getting shot. Thank goodness she was wearing a ballistic vest.
Sad But Not an American black on hispanic assult this time.
Yes, but she is a tough girl doing the job.
To ask the question, “do you need any help” is much different than,”what is your problem, asshole”.
Cool that she got off a few rounds.....heck yes.
Many law enforcement types deserve our real support.
Some deserve mush less.
I hope the young lady recovers completely.
No damn "immigration reform" legislation!
All of us must call Congress, repeatedly, and without failure.
I don’t see that she did anything wrong here, she seems to be very professional and brave and competent, but what is a pudgy woman doing enforcing law in Houston, Texas, alone, at 3:30 AM?
my prayer is that the illegals only run into corrupt, thug, big brother officers, and they all manage to take each other out.
I cant believe she chased them down after getting shot. Thank goodness she was wearing a ballistic vest.
Indeed, a very gutsy lady. I can’t believe the charges in some states.
The suspected shooter, 21-year-old Sergio Francisco Rodriguez, was discovered walking in the area. He has been detained and charged with aggravated assault on a peace officer.
Just when does it become attempted murder?
She's a MARINE (former). She can handle it. And did.
Prayers up for this woman.
Lordy! A lone woman dealing with scum like this in the middle of the night! Not right. I know, these lowlifes would have done the same to a man, but I just cannot get my brain around the idea of a woman doing this kind of work.
PS: It is helpful for the rest of us in browsing articles if you indicate what state is involved. After going to the link, I know it’s Texas, but there are quite a few Staffords across the US.
I guess you have to do something more serious than shooting someone in the head.
What is ANYONE doing enforcing law alone at any time in any city?
I can't imagine EVER walking up to a carload of iffy characters alone.
Shows up in training shows up on the street, most get by never having it happen to them.
When someone starts out a criminal the second they come into the country, libs think they're automatically going to turn into angels.
I don’t think Carrizales fits that profile.
She was doing her job, alone, got shot in the face, and still did her job by chasing them and calling for help.
