There is at least one knockout in the offing, and maybe two, if McConnell causes Bevin to drop out.

Nice to see the mask come off McConnell's phony subdued public persona.

That one is even easy for a GOPe supporter to understand...

It's better to get stabbed in the front by your enemy than get stabbed in the back by your “friend”...

now maybe you can spread the word with all your other RINO buddies....

Dear GOP - run a conservative if you want my vote. Otherwise “bite me.” I’ve withheld my vote from Snowe and Collins, and will continue to do so.

Please explain how having a RINO, who will stab us in the back when we need them most, is any better than an outright liberal?

Yeah! The old "Sticks and stones" thing, eh, Johnny.

One thing threads such as this do is smoke out moles, judas goats, termites and other plants. They out themselves each time. they just can't stay away from them. Like a moth to a flame ...they are drawn.

So called 'Conservatives' will remain as disgruntled spectators on the national scene until they learn how to win elections

Part of winning elections is the service of notice to the GOP that "business as usual" for them is a non-starter for conservatives. If the base is disgruntled, then politicians usually have to do something to firm up their base support. The GOP has decided they don't need to do that.

The Whigs are going to start losing more and more races because they have alienated their base. Personally, I don't feel a bit guilty for not voting for a liberal(R).

My FRiend, they alienated their base a long time ago. Now their base has caught on to their m.o. They are about to learn that credibility, like virginity, once lost, is never regained.

The online news site found Bevin's company applied for the grant saying it didn't owe any local, state or federal back taxes while failing to disclose a $74,000 IRS lien.

Using this to attack a candidate only shows how removed the GOP has become from small business. There are a bunch of explanations for this, such as "I didn't realize that form said that" or "I didn't know we owed back taxes the CFO was handling that". Me personally, I think he was trying to keep his business afloat during a very rough time.

The GOP has become just as bad as the Rats in being removed from and not understanding what business people go through to try and survive.

"Please explain how one more liberal Senate voter for the next Supreme Court nominee is good for our country".

It's easy to explain unfortunately. A RINO will vote just like a Democrat on every piece of legislation that is truly important like supreme court appointments. That is why they are RINOs. Sure they might play games like voting for cloture but then not voting like the nominee...but does that matter to you?

McCain also fought like this against Hayworth, ridiculing him as unfit for office and such. Wish they’d take the same take-no-prisoners approach to the Democrats. But they’re RINOs so they like Democrats and only hate conservatives.

Here’s good example of this type of politics: There’s a Texas tale of hard-ball politics that dates to one of Lyndon Johnson’s first campaigns. Lyndon was the underdog against a well-liked and respectable incumbent who was the odds-on favorite to win (there were no polls in those days). At a strategy session Johnson instructed his staff to spread the rumor that the opponent had a proclivity for sex with animals, pigs in particular. “My God, we can’t say that,” protested a staffer, “it couldn’t possibly be true!” “I know,” said Lyndon, “but let’s make him deny it.

"The 'pragmatic' and liberal GOP wing has won it's last election because they have alienated the base. That's the new reality."

No, the new reality is that all you Kamikaze Conservatives that refused to vote for Romney because he wasn't conservative enough, or was Mormon, or whatever, effectively enabled Obama to win.

McCain won more votes than Romney.

Either one of those men would have at least slowed our national suicide. You guys are accelerating the debacle and seem so smug about it.

The 'lesser evil' shills have been having problems getting any traction on FR since the budget betrayal by the Whigs.

They will eventually fade away.

Romney's history showed a support of gun grabbing, abortion, and socialized medicine. No way I'm going to vote for someone that supports killing babies.

That's the reality. You Whigs are fading into obscurity because you attack your base.

And I'm not interested in 'slow suicide' by your liberal candidates. It's sad that's the best you have to offer.
