Big deal! Been able to chill a beer in seconds with a CO2 fire extinguisher for years now.

In the Nam we used to wrap a beer with a rag soaked in MOGAS. It evaporates quickly and cools the beer pretty fast, but you gotta develop a taste for MOGAS.

Big deal.

I invented a microwave cooler years ago.

You just take a microwave oven and reverse the plug in the wall outlet.

The Big Appliance people have been trying to squelch my invention for years. That’s why they put a third prong on the microwave plugs, so you couldn’t flip the plug around.

I stopped at “counters our rapidly depleting energy sources.” More Euro-Warmist Bullshit.

I think he meant salting the ice around the beer. Helps the ice last longer.

Easier to just rapidly spin a beer can in ice. Won’t get as cold but drinkable until the ice can do it’s job. After a couple the rest should be cold.

Or just put a couple cans in the freezer and then after having one or two use those and replace them a couple at a time with warmer ones.

I meant salting the ice around the beer, yes, because it lowers the temperature to well below freezing.

The ice does not last, however, longer. In fact, the ice melts faster, but the forced melting draws the heat out of the beer faster than just normal ice. This is the same pricipal at work in your air conditioner.

And yes, unless you are quick, you will freeze the beer — that’s the point. It’s the quickest way to cool hot beer.

I’ll have to tell my friend for almost 45 years what you said - she’ll laugh. She reminds me of Katharine Hepburn complete with straight back, pointy nose and top knot. Pretty much says it how she feels it is and doesn’t really care what people think - lives her life her way. Really great, funny and honest person.

ice cubes in beer is a Midwestern thing.”

Interesting. If I were to drink beer it would have to be in an icy mug. Ice cubes in beer seems to me like putting cream and sugar in your coffee. OTOH I do put lots of ice cubes in red wine but really prefer white that’s icy cold - without ice.

Cold liquid with agitation is patented? The bar for a patent is very low.
