Hollywood actors have a long history of expressed admiration for tyrants and despots, going back to the days of Mussolini and Hitler.
There has also been much speculation over the years as to the reason(s) for such an affinity, much of it centering on the commonality among actors of a deep personal insecurity and a need to control it, as combined with a lust for fame and glory. It seems to attract them to power as a moth is drawn to a porch light.
Consequently, some actors such as the insufferable Mr. Penn wind up publicly holding forth on subjects about which they actually know little, as a means of compensating for their secret fears, while embracing Great Men who are able to command and control others in a way they would dearly wish for themselves.

“According to the Commentary on the Russian Federation Law on Psychiatric Care, persons who were subjected to repressions in the form of commitment for compulsory treatment to psychiatric medical institutions and were rehabilitated in accordance with the established procedure receive indemnity payment. The Russian Federation acknowledged that psychiatry was used for political purposes and took responsibility for the victims of “political psychiatry.”
This is what happens when your daddy refuses to play catch with you when you're a kid.
Remember when he said that anyone who spoke against a dictator should be put in jail?
I suppose if you're a rich, spoiled, elite celebritard, you figure that you'll be safe from persecution in a regime that you pretend to agree with.
What a piece of human garbage Penn is.

*Sean Penn?
Wasnt he a sometime actor that went all traitor on America awhile ago?*
He'd have trouble getting on Hollywood Squares if it was still on.
He'd be begging on his knees to be the nerdy professor in an episode of the Love Boat if it was still on...
