Pitiful: Sebelius to blame contractors, not HHS, for Healthcare.gov problems in House testimony

Not only is this an egregious understatement of her own culpability, it’s horrible politics. Everyone knows that when a political crisis strikes, the surest way to soothe public/media outrage is with a phony, half-hearted “the buck stops here” statement accepting responsibility. Maybe it’s better this way. Why keep up a pretense of accountability at this point? Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will tell a House committee tomorrow the site’s botched rollout was the result of contractors failing to live up to expectations – not bad management at HHS, as the contractors suggested. “CMS has a track record of successfully overseeing the

*****Note: (I posted this to another thread here but it seems to fit here also)******

I’d love to see an investigation into just where the 600 million dollars was spent on an amateurish website that will never work. Why was it given on a no-bid contract to a foreign company (Canada) with ties to Michelle Obama? I’d like to make them prove where this much money was actually spent. My guess is they never spent even close to that amount. They probably actually spent less than 50 million and maybe much less. As far as I know Congress has no power of subpena over foreign entities and workers. Someone with more knowledge could probably help me out here.

Anyway, if this vast amount of money was not spent for this POS website, where did that money go? Who embezzled it and who else benefited by such a scam? My guess would be a certain couple sitting in our white house were the instigators AND beneficiaries of the scheme. Why else would they send it to a foreign company with no legal obligation to the US?

I’m no lawyer, maybe someone who is a legal mind can help me out here, but to a layman like myself, this thing stinks to high heaven. I for one, am really pissed off!

Now that right there is funny! Dang funny!

The younger folks would have to be up on their ‘Green acres’ lore to get it though.

" Sebelius to blame contractors "....This is they who we've been waiting for. That has had 5 years, unlimited power, unlimited money. no oversight by gov. auditors or congress and can't create a third class web site. All of these exaulted know-it-alls, sitting in their offices issuing commands and not one of them bothering to take a look and see if any of it was working.....it is to laugh.

The ring-knockers from Princeton get to see what the underside of a bus looks like while traveling 100 mph over a cliff. This is going to leave a mark.

She has a history of failure. Most likely chosen for her resume of this qualification.
