Sure sorry to hear that! My friend in Seguin said the city alarms went off because of the rising waters of the Guadalupe. Scared that West Texas gal so much, but they are on high ground and were ok. Whew!

There are over 1000 homes that have damage or were destroyed by the flooding. This is not the first time that area flooded and people were allowed to rebuild.

I think the state is stepping in and saying “No rebuilding in that area”. That is the third flood on those streams in the last 50 years, and it had been developed for a 100 year flood plan.

Smart. Besides being very dangerous, it’s a waste of taxpayer’s money to keep having FEMA come in there to bail them out...literally.
It is 49 here this morning! I’m LOVIN’ it...as long as I’m indoors, that is. LOL!

One guy called into the local talk show yesterday and said there were several hundred volunteers already on the scene. They were cleaning up the brush and other debris so people could go through the personal items and recover their property.
