Well, I read a good deal of it, and I agree with the author's point of how Obama affects his "followers." But I've listened to all or part of many of his speeches, pronouncements, and press conferences, and I have only on very rare occasions heard anything that seemed transcendental or awe-inspiring or even merely "moving." He is not anywhere in the class of JFK or MLK or Reagan or even the young Jesse Jackson or Farrakhan. Frankly, he's not a whole lot better than Bush. Often, he seems bored and put-off that he is even expected to say ANYTHING. His cadence is repetitive and monotonous. Speaking impromptu, he is often simply incoherent or stupid, getting basic facts wrong.

And I bristled at the quote from the Obama admirer who described Bush as "uncurious." Bush was - and is - in fact an avid reader. For better or worse, he increased the federal role in education. (My only point here is that he CARED about education, not whether his polices were effective or even constitutional.)

Bush has recently taken up painting. He is active in the maintenance of his ranch, very "hands-on." But the idea - the blatant lie - that Bush was an "uncurious" boob was just too easy for bigoted liberals to ignore, so they spread that falsehood for eight years.
