I’ve always loved the movie scenes that have the “SUSPECT” being questioned by the police.
The suspect lights up a cigarette and the police say “You can’t smoke in here”.
Suspect: “What are you doing to do?, arrest me ?”
Suspect: What are you doing to do?, arrest me ?
Obviously, you're talking about old movies.
Today, the "suspect" would not be arrested a second time, but would have the smoking violation added to charges he'd be booked on.
The idea of banning smoking in public indoor places is reasonable. But unfortunately, nanny statists have taken it well beyond that in NYC.
