The website is actually being keyed to DOS 3.1, the graphic interface is cobbled from Android.
No incompatibilities there....
These people put the term “FUBAR” to shame. Just throw stuff at the wall so maybe something sticks.

Didn’t know it was up.
Probably resetting to non-daylight savings time.
Maybe there will come a time when they realize
that their attempts to “fix” it are just making
it more inoperative.

LOL XP.
Actually the Obamacare site is hosted on Akamai's Linux servers, which are ultra-reliable, and a good choice for large sites. Some years ago, Microsoft's main site microsoft.com, which of course was hosted on Windows servers, went down unexpectedly due to server problems, and while they got it running again, THEY hosted on Akamai's Linux servers (causing no end of guffaws from the open source community).
So, the Obamacare site being "down" doesn't mean the hosting servers are in trouble at all. It means this is the first of many downs while they try to figure out what the heck they're going to do with all the broken SOFTWARE on the website.
That's where the trouble lies.

Oops, hit "post" too soon.
... and the problem with the website SOFTWARE is that it's written in Microsoft 8K BASIC.

They’re going to give it a lube job to see if that will speed it up.

The grand mistress of the sites will be able to handle all problems as soon as she masters her surprise gift, "Web Sites for Dummies"!

Actually, it is not the book that is causing that expression. I have it on good authority that just after she read the title she looked up to see someone holding up a wooden cross in full view and she reacted instinctively to it...

I find it interesting that companies like Google, RedHat, and Oracle are sending in “gurus” to help out.
Because every floundering mega project needs a few more egotistical generals to direct the troops....

Oh woe is me.
I had set aside 20 hours this weekend to get my Obama care(s). Now I find out it is going to be down. What am I to do?

The AS/400 was a decent machine, by reputation, as I recall. Never worked on one myself, but I thought the object-oriented operating system concept was kinda neat.
