At least 137,000 people in the eight counties of Western New York have received, or will soon receive, a notice that President Obama said they would never get: a notice that their health insurance is being discontinued, and that theyll have to shop for another plan.
Thats the number of people who get insurance from Buffalos three major insurers who are destined to get the government-mandated letter, a jargon-filled tome that one local insurance executive called a 14-page packet-o-whacket.
But one line of one version of the letter, which is being sent to people all around the country, is clear.
Your current plan will cease upon your anniversary date, said a letter sent to one subscriber in Washington, D.C.

Well at least they put “substandard” in quotes. Too bad they didn’t put “underinsured” in quotes in the headline.
“Golly! Yesterday, I didn’t even know how to spell underinsured, now I are one.”

From the article: "In addition, the vast new benefits now required by law could save that West Seneca woman money in other ways. Pawenski said the womans existing $192-a-month-premium plan for Healthy NY did not cover prescriptions, medical devices such as knee braces, chiropractic treatment, ambulance transportation, mental health treatment or reimbursement for gym fees all covered by the 2014 plans, which also provide preventative care at no cost." Did I read that right? We are being asked to pay more to reimburse people for gym fees? What if you don't want to join a gym and prefer to get free exercise walking, biking etc?

When did Obama and his sychophants become health insurance agents?
Underinsured is a vague word. I guess it means, for Lefty, a policy which doesn’t offer free abortion, birth control, transgender treatment and IVF treatment....

In NY, like Kalifornia, a GOP vote is a wasted vote. A NewYawker or a Kalifornicater just needs to get the hell out of their state and help let those states collapse.

Your current plan will cease upon your anniversary date, said a letter sent to one subscriber in Washington, D.C. Such letters should also explain exactly why the current plan will cease. Folks need to know. For example:
Due to the health care law, passed by a Democratic Congress and signed by President Obama, our current plan will cease upon your anniversary date.
I know, I'm just dreaming.

Your right, and that’s just too bad because you may not feel safe walking or biking through, say, a Chicago suburb and therefore qualify under law to receive gym membership fee supplement.

RginTN :" When did Obama and his sychophants become health insurance agents?"
They became insurance agents after watching a 20 hour video presentation (no testing / no proof of competancy / not bonded / not licensed).

Or how about a couple of dumbbells at home? Instead we’ve got Obamagyms now?
To: 9YearLurker
Yep, agreed, however an Ogym would be a great place to register to vote...
