Hype. From what Ive seen, most South Africans speak of him as dead already. I was in South Africa just a few months ago, and when the subject came up the white South Africans I was speaking with just rolled their eyes. They don't think anything of significance is going to happen upon his death.

Willful blindness can be deadly.

Some even managed to be astonished when they got off the train and it wasn't at a luxury resort.
