The problem here is that Soetoro “misspoke” the same thing so many times that even he was starting to believe it. PERIOD!
That is what makes psychopaths such good liars. They actually believe their own lies.
I have SIL that is a pathological liar. Once she hears the lie in her own voice, it becomes reality and she then repeats it ad nauseum, truly believing she is telling facts. She does a good job of fooling those that don't know her very well.
