A former medical center chief defeated a county sheriff to become the next mayor of financially troubled Detroit, though the job holds little power while the city is being run by a state-appointed emergency manager.

Detroit should put Kwame back in charge. He can run things from prison.
She is both an idiot and totally uninformed. I spoke to a black minister in Detroit last week and he told me that Duggan would win. He also predicted that Duggan would win the primary election on a write in vote.
That said, Duggan is the first white Mayor since 1973. He is also a Democrat.
She should see it as a good thing - if and when Detroit finally goes under they’ll have a white guy to blame.
Ah. The old, ‘Whitey’s Fault’ card is played! That took about a minute after the polls closed, LOL!
So predictable. These people WANT utter destruction to come to America. And you know what? Thanks to the weak-kneed, lmp-d*cked RINOs, they’re doing one helluva job!
Praying for you guys! Hoping you get some relief!
Agreed, it was an expected win for anyone who paid attention.
The black nationalist attitudes that have thrived in Detroit for all these years are beginning to collapse. Its one of the reasons that Kwame Kenyatta left office and went to Mobile Alabama where the mayor is a black nationalist.
And it came from a white “she-male”. LOL
So when they get desperate they will vote for the white guy but only if he’s in democrat clothing. Good luck with fixing ‘DeTerloit’. An albino ‘rat is still a ‘rat.
I wondered what happened to him. He will be right at home in Atlanta.
All lesbians and homosexuals have a serious problem producing intelligent thought. Their brains are defective.
Win? He didn’t win! He’s the guy with a garden hose sent to save a blazing building. Sounds like punishment for some crime.
He is the Karl Doenitz of Detroit.
Right this way, Reichsadmiral - er, I mean Reichsfuhrer. We just need your signature on this one little document...
Reading a little bit about this election, I def would have voted for Duggan over the other guy.
Detroit’s not going anywhere.
While it has a boatload of problems, it also has young, vibrant professionals moving in who are passionate about the city. A number of neat bars and restaurants have popped up. Neighborhoods that had fallen into ruins are making a comeback, and Dan Gilbert is investing megabucks into the place.
I wonder then who will take credit.
The same way there’s no democracy in the US since a black guy won?
I see it as an ideal testbed for ways to fix America. Its got every problem the rest of the country has on a small scale.
