However, it's prudent to respect any authority with a license to kill you whether they deserve that respect or not.
The wise place to fight the tyranny is at the ballot box and the political power levers; in the street, walk circumspectly and live to fight another day.

And contempt.
They were the ones to decide it's us vs them.
