Still can't believe they flew those things off a carrier!

4th star... Reagan and Goldwater. I'd be proud of that picture too!

Ooops. You're right. Not sure why I had 'fifth' on the brain. :)

Funny how those things make an impression on you as a kid...

You were incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to hear a firsthand account of that raid.

History, soon to be real history, indeed.

Rumor has it that the goblet case is stored at the AF academy.

It used to be... walked by it many times. It's since been transferred to the AF Museum.

Very sad to me... These wonderful gentlemen, saying goodbye.

It’s like the last part of America that I grew up with going away.

Patriots, from the generation that DEFINED Patriotism and Americanism...

My father, WWII Airborne, long gone... was part of that generation. He was 55 feet tall to me.

Happy Veterans day, Pop... You’re in Heaven with your Glider and Paratroop buddies, “raising hell”... Not a day goes by that I don’t miss you.

Just ran across an old FR thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1618606/posts. According to the article they were moved in 2006.
