Any additive that comes from China should be listed on the package too... I don’t eat food from China or Pakistan... or any Muslim country.
Anyone believe our dog kill-offs from Chinese dog additives are a mistake? It’s how they get rid of toxic waste... that’s my guess...
Chinese produced food is a major reason to have country of origin labeling on food just like manufactured goods. There is far more that can go wrong with food (as shown form the melamine poisonings by Chinese pet food) than with some $20 MP3 player.
Done!
Just under the wire...
When did Chuck get a clue?
In the case of farmed seafood from China, it was discovered that they were pumping the tank water full of industrial-grade antibiotics so that they didn’t have to clean the wastes out. But I’m sure that’s just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak. No food from China for me, if I can help it.
Whew!
Now for a mid-morning chicken sushi snack.
That would include any and all products intended for animal consumption, livestock, pets, the whole nine yards. And then there is the curious case of the ching chong chicom purchase of Smithfields. What kind of quisling regime would permit the ching chong commies to buy a very large producer of finished [and for all I know intermediate] mear product sold all over the middle atlantic seaboard? What kind of regulatory extortion was involved - why wasn'y Smithfield sold to an American outfit???? So now the commie thugs, who hate our guts even more because we are defrauding them of the value of their debt by printing money, can put poison bacon on our breakfast tables. Boggles the mind.
Not only does China import tremendous amounts of meat from us, so does Europe. Over the last 3 years there have been hundreds of new Chicken Houses built in eastern NC. I have sold the lumber many times to construct them. These are builds approximately 100’ x 500’. The reason they are moving the farms to NC is to be closer to the Northeast US and offshore markets. These farms were originally mostly in AR. Moving them closer to the ports of Wilmington and Charleston cuts down on the shipping cost of the chickens to get to their target markets.
There are also many hog farmers in this area for the same reason. The reduced shipping costs to get them to port for shipment overseas or reduced trucking freight to the population centers in the northeast.
Nah! That cat population will be reduced, slaughtered and sent here a chicken!
Of course “free marketers” will retort
1) Where in the Constitution does it say you are entitled to eat homegrown meats.
2) If you don't like it, raise your own (which for some meats I can).
I say ALL food is labeled one way only. Either 100% (not 99%) is raised and slaughtered here in the US so it can be designated USA, or it's designated Other (or Non US, whatever).
That means if one grain of salt is added that is not from the US, it's Other.
Let the consumer decide. Don't get into trick verb age. It's either 100% or Foreign.
Says that we are already eating Chinese processed chicken. Think soup, think turkey burger, think chicken fingers.
“Senility setting in...guess Chuckie forgot whose side hes on...”
Nahh... Chuckie is posturing because the Rats will blame Republicans.
Schumer eats Halal chicken.
Tariffs are to the Free Trader as Holy Water is to a vampire.
This isn’t just a cost cutting measure. If it ever was. It’s a way to ship our unpolluted chickens to china and have them ship their chickens back here. A backalley deal as it were.
And all the while be labeled ‘produced in USA’.
Would that be democrat Emporer Obama's USDA that Scmuckie is criticizing?
Or does he have some story cooked up to blame it on George Bush?
Scmuckie will probably change his tune when Obama tells him how much the Chinese have agreed to donate to democrat politicians.
“ship them to china so the slaves can cut them up, and then ship back.”
How about a shortcut - cut them up on the ship, just outside the limit, like the fishing or whale fleet.
Will this Chinese chicken be clearly labeled?
Yes in blue ink it will say "Yankee eat $h!t" stamped on each one.
