I’ve even stopped buying chicken-based dog food.
Can’t trust it anymore.
Well you can tell the author of that headline ain’t no contry boy. First you raise them them slaughter them.
I will stop buying anything chicken if they don’t label it.
My dogs once became very sick from canned dog food (chicken).
It was never determined if it was the chicken or because of the pull-top type can.
Because of that incident, I now cook for my pups and never buy any canned pull-top people food.
And it doesn't help that Martin O'Malley is driving Perdue out of Maryland. They are leaving, and taking their billion-dollar contribution to the economy of the mid-Atlantic region.
While I don’t agree with 99.999999% of the things Schumer stands for, I can support this. While shopping for groceries now, I read the “where made” labels to insure I am not buying something imported from places like China. Goodness only knows where some of that food comes from or how it was raised, processed and canned.

I’ve boycotted cheap Chinese goods for ever and a day. I look at the labels. Some times there is no choice....most times there is.
I do not put wild caught Chinese seafood into my belly...ain’t gonna happen. I will not consume Chinese food products if I can help it.
Why?? Aren’t we, the USA, producing enough chicken to satisfy the consumption needs of the country? Are have federal regulators chased the chicken producers overseas like so many other industries??
I guess if obozo and his bureaucrats can’t totally control us, they’ll just have to get their fellow commies in China to poison us all!

The nutrition labels aren’t nearly as important as origination is. Basic knowledge and some commonsense gives and idea of nutritional value.
This is here Whole Foods shine. I buy my shrimp from them.

Shipping chickens to China, maintaining a deep freeze all the way, thawing, refreezing, shipping them back - what does that do to CO2 emissions? As compared to all the Americans (or at least undocumented Americans like Mexicans and Guratemalans and Somalis, doing the jobs Americans won’t do) commuting to the processing plant in their old beater cars that they didn’t trade in on a new one in the bailout gas guzzler trade-in program, instead of riding bikes through coal smoke-filled cities as the Chinese do even when they have TB?
Forget food safety or taste. What’s the effect on the planet? (Methane from chicken manure will be the same either way, so maybe we should just eat soy McNuggets instead!)
Progov, but what if there are additives from overseas? Realize the creativity (or deception if you will) a business may pursue to avoid honest labeling.
