I know she’s very popular on this forum....I thought she came off weak. She used about 4 talking points over and over...when Laure pressed her on what she would do to reform healthcare all she could come up with was free market and tort reform. Very weak answer.
;-\
Since when did telling the truth become “talking points”?
I agree with her, the free market and tort reform would go a long way to improve health care. I don’t think it needs to be “reformed”. The only people who believe that are the ones who believe they are entitled to free health care at other people’s expense.
Free markets and tort reform were all she could come up with? The most essential and crucial SOLUTIONS to a problem whose very EXISTENCE is about 90 percent because of those two things (government screwing up free markets and litigation making it so doctors can't afford to practice because of the insurance premiums they have to pay to protect themselves), and you call them "weak" and say that's all she "could come up with"?
Just wow.
As for using "about 4 talking points over and over," HELLO????????? Hello??? Dear, REPETITION WORKS. It is highly effective and proven. It is WHY advertisers do it. Palin -- indeed, any politician, including liberals, are WISE to stick to repeated talking points. The difference is that Liberals repeat LIES and ILLUSIONS in the hope that they will become perceived "truths." Palin and other true conservatives only communicate -- and repeat and repeat and repeat -- the truth in the hope that it will sink in.
You just don't like Palin.
Returning to free market solutions and tort reform would save America, nevermind just healthcare.
But please post your solution to reforming healthcare. We all want to know what Sarah should have said.
free market and tort reform...
I’m good with that.
what government plan is there for creating any of the thousands of NEW of products produced each day by capitalism(the free market)?
look at Friedman's example of how a simple pencil is produced, how many thousands of people and companies all over the world cooperate to get the wood, rubber , graphite to produce a pencil. no government plan was needed to create that . in fact the rubber is obtained from some Island in the pacific, the graphite mined by companies in Australia , the wood from trees in Canada by canadian companies etc. no government created the plan to create the pencil nor any of the millions of products the free market created. and the free market does this effortlessly every day without taxing us nor taking away our freedom , producing high quality new products that we need and can choose to buy (witness the electronics products like smart phones) .and they do this in spite of govenrmentS interference and taxes . no government could even control this it is done by people in many different countries where the stupid U.S. government has no power nor authority . and keep in mind that from 1600 to 1900 there was practically no government in the U.S. and this process of creating products and industries worked perfectly all that time .
u seem to agree with the socialists/democrats that say that a government plan is needed for everything. that is called socialism/marxism/statism . government is the problem not the solution.
