Why Chris Christie Isn't Mitt Romney or John McCain
CBN ^ | November 07, 2013 | David Brody

Posted on 11/11/2013 4:35:40 PM PST by xzins

I know…I know….here we go again right? All the talk is about how Chris Christie will be the best GOP nominee because he’s the most electable.

We’ve heard this before. We heard it with John McCain in 2008. We heard it with Mitt Romney in 2012 and now we are hearing it with Governor Christie.

But there’s a crucial difference. No disrespect to McCain or Romney but Christie has pizazz. He has more chutzpah in one finger than McCain and Romney do combined. That’s important.

A lot of Tea Party conservatives are going to focus in on the purity of Gov. Christie’s record. And for sure, that record should be explored. But just remember this: You can make the conservative case for Christie, too. It’s not like he’s Jon Huntsman folks.

Plus, Christie may just be the perfect political figure to run at a time like this because Washington is dysfunctional and Christie doesn’t do dysfunctional. He’s got no patience for it just like the American people.

That match of the hearts could very well be Christie’s biggest asset. Put another way (or as Chris Christie might put it), he doesn’t take any crap. And Americans seem ready for someone with real bravado that’s serious about breaking through the political clutter to come up with real solutions.

Sorry, Mr Brodie, but you leave out so much. For example, I heard Christie say he's anti-violence the other night...while refusing to say he won't push gun control (again).

And he approved gay marriage in New Jersey.

Sounds like Mittjohn McRomney to me.

Considering how little of the GOP’s base resides in the Northeast, funny how the “insiders” really love to have presidential candidates come from there.

Chris Christie would make a great loser though.

The author has to learn the difference between chutzpah and just plain New Jersey blowhard.

I love when the establishment tells us who is most electable, then the base stays home and leaves them holding the bag. But they never seem to figure it out.

Is he at least going to prevent more federal dictatorship over our medical care and our school systems and our churches and our businesses, big and small, and so on? Can we at least get that much conservatism from Christie?

All the pro-Christie pundits can sit on it and save the spin.

NOT buying and it's way too early for ANY of this.

Christie beat a no-name democrat.

END OF STORY, (for me).

Chris Christie has pizazz? Forget the Elephant in the room, he reminds me of giant blow fish.

But, aside from his looks, unless Chris Christie does a hard right turn and opposes comes out hard against Obamacare, he doesn’t stand a chance of appealing to voters outside of New Jersey and New York.

Obamacare is the only issue on the minds of the voters and so far, we haven’t heard much from Christie on Obamacare. Obamacare is going to figure especially high on the list of issues if Hillary is the Democrat candidate. Some Democrats are already talking about Elizabeth Warren as opposed to Hillary because Obamacare is Hillarycare redux.

Sure, David, he has “pizzazz”, if by that you mean he’s a boorish loudmouth.
