This is like hanging an innocent man and then coming back next day and giving him a temporary stay of execution.
You know, many have said all this was intended from the beginning. I do believe they wanted this law as a stepping stone, but I do not believe they had any intention or idea that any of this would happen. I think that their ideology and arrogance convinced then that the public would see this as a huge present from government. Then they would pivot on that good will to seal the deal for single-payer.
I do not believe Obama can recover from what happened today. That’s not say won’t have highs and lows going forward, but essentially he has neutered himself in front of the American people. The Q&A made it much, much worse.
