He knows everything. And yet he seems to know nothing. He’s passionate about the details of domestic policy but wasn’t privy to the details of his own legacy law. He’s an academic with a command of every issue at once but seemingly only finds out what his administration is doing in news reports. He’s so brilliant every normal endeavor he’s tried has bored him, but he couldn’t bother to entertain himself with more than one monthly meeting on the make-or-break program of his presidency. He’s the captain of the Culture of Competency who has overseen the most incompetent rollout of an entitlement program in history.
I was struck by a moment in President Obama’s press conference today where this paradox was on full display. The president floated, throughout the press conference, from profession of utter ignorance to confident declaration and directive. Allahpundit noted that Obama distanced himself from the website’s problems by saying he was never informed of its problems. He knew nothing.

Sometimes I wonder if Biden really is the dumb one. He is getting paid for doing nothing really and doesn’t get blamed for anything. He’s the incredible invisible VP. Time for them to bring him back down out of the attic to make Obama look more intelligent again.

LOL yeah, before he messed with it you could spend 15 minutes online and save money. Now you’ll spend 15 months trying to find a new policy.
He is Sargent Shultz of Hogan’s Heroes. All this stuff going on and he ses nothing—Its an act folks—just that. Its a tactic to keep and hold power—as he becomes desperate watch as he does more terrible things. People going to die. Watch as he tries to postpone the election or cheat the ballot box to keep his goons in power. I still think he will try for the 3rd Term—his ego is that big. BUT in the end, its all over—its Nero fiddling before the burning Rome, its Hitler in the bunker moving armies on a map that no longer exist. The end is coming and it will not be pretty.
1) He is really clueless and is just a figurehead to trot out to look pretty and read a teleprompter and someone behind the scenes is actually doing the president stuff.
2) His being unaware of everything is just a con.
I pick number 2. He knows exactly what is going on but has turned “plausible deniability” into an art form. Everyone around him is ready to fall on their sword and say he wasn’t informed about this, that, or whatever.
The entire speech was a list of reasons the government, and the Obama administration in particular, should never be in the health care business.
