How did the family know?
This reminds me of the guy from a week or two ago who supposedly wrote something racist for the tip but it turned out it was a takeout order and the handwriting didn’t match.
I was thinking that maybe they were offended by her publicly revealing her sexual proclivities at a family restaurant.
I don’t happen to think a person’s tip should be based on their orientation. If you don’t like the idea of a lesbian serving you, then ask for another waitress, don’t let her do all the work and then stiff her on the check.
Exactly. I smell setup.
Unless the waitress "came out" in front of the family and made it a point to tell them she was a lesbian (which is highly unlikely) then this can only BE a setup designed to generate sympathy.
It is probably a HOAX to get easy sympathy money from the gullible, low-information citizens.
