De Blasio vs. the market
NY Post ^ | November 16, 2013 | Charles Gasparino

Business leaders in the city are scratching their heads over recent remarks by Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio.

Describing how he plans to govern once he takes office next year, the mayor-elect declared flatly that he doesn’t believe in the free-market system.

At least Comrade Bill was being honest.

“Everything you heard about me is true. . . I am not a free-marketeer. . . I believe in the heavy hand of government,” de Blasio stated matter-of-factly during an hour-long presentation to some of the city’s biggest real-estate developers.

The meeting occurred several weeks before the election with de Blasio way ahead in the polls and New York’s business elite hoping and praying he wasn’t as much of a leftist as he said he was on the campaign trail.

Wasn't it obvious to them that this guy is a flat-out Communist? If these "business leaders" have any functioning brain cells, they will flee NYC immediately.

Of course you are going to have a screwed economy and shrinking middle class when allow extreme free trade meaning millions of decent paying jobs get shipped out of America. Japan, Korea and Germany don’t allow this. On top of this many jobs are getting computerized and roboticized out of existence....more decent paying middle class jobs get eliminated. Then allow all kinds of illegal and legal immigration from the 3rd world. Most of them being eligible for affirmative action preferences. End result being the people who built and fought for America get screwed and it will worse for their children. It already is

All that degenerate money printing by the Federal Reserve is designed to juice the economy. But a sound expanding economy is built on sound economic activity within a nation. We don’t care about this anymore.

New Jersey awaits a short distance away. Physical/geographical presence on Manhattan not necessary. A good number of business left “WALL STREET” after 9/11 and never came back.

He sort of pulled up the welcome mat so far a business is concerned. Fortunately, most of us can avoid NYC altogether and just spend our money elsewhere. Find a broker who isn’t NY Based. Find a good credit union and stop doing business with NY.

Worst of all and it has been reported in thier local papers that his so called wife Mccray the proud lesbian has been at every meeting and is responsible for the appointments to his administration. She is ACORN, and the family workers party friend. You voted for this imbecile and you now have a stranger not related even by marriage governing the largest most prosperous city in America

If freepers are smart let big gov and big business kill each other

But they never do. They talk big, but, in the end, they help each other survive and prosper. This dope will be no different -- though he may bluster more than the others. He knows where his bread is buttered.

Liberals constantly tell us how so very smart they are and dumb they believe Conservative bumpkins are. I am not exaggerating, Liberals are some of the stupidest, most gullible, easiest to fool, idiots on the planet.

So now, when like 80% of the people voted for this guy, suddenly their scratching their heads at what he is saying? Most of us here live thousands of miles from NY City and totally understood this guy. Just how dumb are liberals?

I predict a lot of dysfunction in NY City's future -- a lot. And, watch for crime and the seedy underworld explode. Detroit, here comes NY City!

Right across the river in New Jersey Chris Christie is running around telling commercial landlords and real estate developers to join him and get down on their knees every night and pray that this dope DeBlasio is an even more radical Marxist than reported.

I believe that New York City (NYC) is in for a rather interesting and bumpy ride over the next 4 years and it is ALL BLOOMBERG’s fault! Nanny Bloomberg was limited to 2 terms ending in 2010 when he persuaded the city council to allow him and all other current office holders another term. Every decision has consequences and it is likely that without this display of billionaire ego, the proto-social engineer would not be in this position until 2017.

Now to see how the city that never sleeps works with an anti-business left-hand-ista!
