You know, this is truly shocking. People who work in fields where it is possible to fall from a height are more likely to die from falls.

Yep, they actually try to get hurt or at least make it look like they got hurt to get worker’s comp. They go out of their way to sue as well and call it winning the American lottery. That is why I get so angry when they are all touted to be upstanding hard working people who do hard/dirty jobs Americans won’t do.
A friend who works as a roofer here in NJ gave me some insight as to why this might be happening. He said the illegals his company hires learn how to use the tools on the job (after feigning they know how to get the jobs). I could see why that could cause plenty of accidents...
