College Professors are Also Losing Health Plans Under Obamacare
College Insurrection ^ | November 16, 2013

Those would be the same college professors who donated overwhelmingly to Democrats.

Steven Hayward of The PowerLine Blog reports.

Obamacare Hits the Campus

The other day I mentioned that things might really get rough for Obama when health insurance cancellation notices hit elite Washington journalists. I neglected to consider what might happen if it began to happen to . . . college professors. A professor at an elite university writes in with this account (name withheld by request):

We are now in the process of enrolling in Medical Reimbursement Accounts for next year, and a visit to the Human Resources Department confirms that the year after next, we will not have the insurance plan that we have now. Although my college is self-insured and falls under ERISA laws, the plan the college provides is a “Cadillac” plan that is simply “unsustainable,” I was told. Not only are the tax implications on Cadillac plans too onerous to support, but, for reasons unspecified, the will not allow the college to continue its current insurance. I was worried about this because although we are self-insured, we have an outside administrator, which means we, too, are vulnerable to the tentacles of the ACA.

No one knows this because the Human Resources people have kept all the attention focused on next year, 2014, when things will remain largely the same. And very few people have been following this, blithely assuming that the Republicans who opposed the law were just partisan meanies. But they will learn, sooner or later, (after the mid-term elections???) that 2015 is going to be a whole new ball game. If they like their health care, tough luck.

Look at it this way......the Mainstream Media and Academia are Obama's two top panzer divisions. He relies on them both for attacks on capitalism and for training the populace in marxism.

If and when the quislings in both divisions lose their personal health plans they will shrug it off, gladly accept ObamaCare and, like well-trained soldiers will carry on with their war against their fellow Americans.

Remember, the enemy is within.

The professors are still blaming the Republicans, no matter that it is obamma and his legion that are causing this to happen.

They probably blame the republicans because the republicans were not a party to the legistration. It does not matter that the Rats refused to include them.

Well, if 60% of them were to lose their jobs, it would be best if the worst of the worst were among them. Get rid of the most strident Marxist Leftist Communists and Socialists.

Replace the dismissed professors with middle to right leaning people and be done with it.

Parity is essential. Anti-Americans a complete no go.

Good news for bh0’s college faculty backers. Combine this with the students who backed bh0 at Bowie State in Maryland are now calling him a liar.

Liberal College professors losing their insurance.....I can’t think of a better group to experience pain from Obamacare. My suggestion for them, shut up and write that large check every month as they mutter “I truly believe in Obamacare, I just did not think I was going to have to pay for it”.

Oh, yeah. Our campus is starting to simmer now that the word got out that the institutional plan might not be up to snuff. We just went through the annual benefits selection and there was a rumor that family benefits might have to be cut - my HR contact says it isn't true as far as she can tell but that she's been admitting that she really can't tell very far ahead.

It's a classic case of assuming that the change was going to affect only other people - it's the reason the unions are starting to scream as well. I should be more angry, I suppose, but I will admit there's a certain satisfaction in being able to say, "Well, at least Congress isn't affected!"

Good. Let the communists rot in their garbage as it festers underneath the boot of their tyrant “president.”

it would be even greater news if the law was miswritten to affect congress and their family’s insurance coverage, now that would be true justice.

What libtards! They are aghast at the prospect of losing their "Cadillac Plans" due to the evil tax put upon them by the formerly benevolent ACA!

It never occurs to them to be grateful enough for such a great plan that just maybe they could PAY FOR PART OF IT themselves, like the rest of American workers do!
