In November 1963, Cuban intelligence officer Florentino Aspillaga was posted in a little hut near a Cuban beach where he operated listening equipment trained on Miami and CIA headquarters in Virginia. On the morning of Nov. 22, Mr. Aspillagawho would defect to the U.S. in 1987said that he was ordered "to stop all your CIA work, all your CIA work." He was instructed to "put all of my equipment to listen to any small detail from Texas. They told me Texas."
Did Castro know that Lee Harvey Oswald was about to assassinate President Kennedy? Brian Latell, a veteran CIA Cuba analyst who spent 15 hours interviewing Mr. Aspillaga for his newly revised "Castro's Secrets," (Palgrave MacMillan), makes a strong case that he did.

The left has never been able to come to terms with the fact that a communist killed Kennedy; the same communists that they were forever defending and abetting. And since they could not admit this, they did what the left always does when confronted by reality - concoct outrageous and elaborate lies and obfuscations, secure in the knowledge that the leftist mainstream press and Hollywood would defend and uphold any lie, no matter how outrageous, as long as the truth was never uttered.
I heard Tom Clancy plug that book on C-SPAN a decade ago when someone asked him on BookTV what he thought of the JFK assassination. It was the beginning of my eyes being opened to the fact that there’s little evidence of some broader conspiracy, and how a cargo cult of assasination theories became mainstream.
Bottom line is Oswald pulled the trigger more than once that day leaving a dead president and a police officer. He said he was a ‘patsy’ but he was a lying, murderous leftist. Too bad he was killed before we could get more info out of him. Could have waterboarded his sorry self.
I was a senior in high school. I remember that day unbelievably clear. I’ve always thought LHO acted alone.
Of course, I read the entire column at the link.
:)
The really important info/data has been sanitized. It probably doesn’t exist anymore.
“Oswald was an admirer of the USSR and Castros Cuba. He was a little commie leftist murderous tasbard. Not a far stretch to imply that Fidel was somehow involved-either directly or indirectly via free rental space in LHOs dark little heart. He earned his place in history and in hell too. Fidel will meet him soon enough.”
My thoughts as well. I agree that Fidel was either directly or indirectly involved. He seemed to know that something was about to happen.
You’re likely right, given the democrat admins.
If he visited the Cuban and Soviet embassies he would have know it. He probably passed this info on the LBJ and part of the Charter for the Warren Commission was to scrub these links out.
“What Castro Knew About Lee Harvey Oswald”
He liked to play the guitar?
Did Castro know that Lee Harvey Oswald was about to assassinate President Kennedy?
That’s amazing cause he was never charged with it, let alone do it.
Castro wanted revenge for attempts on his life and the Bay of Pigs. During the Cuban Missile Crisis, Castro reportedly urged Khrushchev not to back down, and openly welcomed nuclear war, even though Cuba would have certainly been completely devastated. If a nuclear war came, Cuba would be the first place hit, and hit hard. They might never even have gotten off a shot. The U.S. would have delivered nuclear attacks nearly simultaneously on every suspected missile site in Cuba.
So why did Ruby kill Oswald?
Because Ruby was about a screwed up as Oswald, nearly as big a low life, and in his twisted mind thought he was doing Jackie a favor.
Very close to truth— Read Ion Pacepa’s last 2 books. (He’s the highest ranking officer to defect to the US from the Soviet Union)> A REAL American now
Hey now, don’t try bringing a book (which I’ve also read) with logic, facts and actual research into conspiracy-nut land.....
I don’t believe that a conspiracy that huge is possible. Yet, I find it hard to believe that Oswald, a Marine sharpshooter, would buy a notoriously inaccurate Carcano for such a job when an M-1 was as readily accessible
