Toronto Mayor Rob Ford was caught on video Monday bum-rushing a female Councillor as the council voted to strip the admitted crack smoker of most of his mayoral powers.

I agree. Guy needs to go, but this bump isn’t the “attack” I was expecting from the headline.

True but evidently he was trying to get to someone in the gallery and ran over this woman in the process. She did however do a good job of blocking the tackle but he almost pulled a face mask penalty.
It’s a shame that Ford has turned into such a personal disaster because from a policy standpoint he’s been far better than his leftist predecessors or anyone waiting in the wings to replace him. As much as I appreciate his efforts to keep Toronto’s finances in order, I’m not going to pull a “our guy right or wrong” card and justify his use of illegal drugs, public drunkenness and other obnoxious behaviour. Toronto can do better. Unfortunately, it can also do much worse.
I agree, if you look at the video, it seems he was going after someone past her and bumped her. He made a nice catch and backed himself up after realizing what he did. So was he going after someone else?...I bet that someone else in the crowd will not say a word so it looks like he was going after this lady.

All I am certain of is this....CNN is giving more coverage to Rob Ford than all the Obama scandals combined
This Chris Farley major is great. I’m sick of all those smug Toronto citizens ever pontificating about superior culture, medical coverage and political courage. Ha!

I agree. It looked to me like he was focused on someone else and rushing to get in the face of that other person, who is not in the video screen. He didn’t even seem to notice the lady he ran into until she started to fall down. Even when he caught her, he wasn’t really focused on her, at all.

The word “shame” should be deleted from Webster’s. It seems to be no longer a valid word when it comes to politicians.
