MASS. PASS: Massachusetts state Commissioner of Insurance Joseph Murphy has declined President Obamas offer to allow so-called subpar insurance plans to be extended another year after millions nationwide faced cancellation of existing policies.
The Bay States error-ridden Health Connector website hasnt even successfully enrolled 1,000 applicants for health insurance as it marks the 50th day since it was launched and if that pattern keeps up, it could soon be time to panic, said a health-care policy expert.
The Connector looks like theyre improving, but its still way behind where it needs to be, said Joshua Archambault of the Pioneer Institute. If you dont see that rate increase, it does start to become a crisis moment for the state.
The latest numbers from the Connector show only 21,326 people have finished their applications for insurance. And only 963 have actually successfully enrolled in insurance plans a rate of 20 per day since Oct. 1, when the site went live.
Even the rate at which applicants are finishing their sign-ups about 435 per day is below the mark, said Archambault....

Enrolled and paying policy holder are two different things.
Paying policy holder and finding a cooperating doctor are two different solar systems.
What's the problem? They'll just lie about the numbers like they did with the unemployment rate before the presidential election.
