The Quinn and Rose show has been on the air for 18 years with great success. Ten of those years were at 104.7. We love doing our show.

We want our listeners to know how much we have enjoyed bringing you the news every morning. We feel like we are all part of one big family. Your loyalty and support over the years has meant so much to us and we think you know that.

Please know that we appreciate each and every one of you. A morning without you is like a morning without coffee. And we HATE a morning without coffee!! You have always meant so much to us. We cannot find words adequate to express to you just how much.

As we have new information, we will keep you posted at www.warroom.com on the front page. Be sure to check in there periodically for updates.

Our commitment has been, and will always be, to conservative values and to this great country of ours.

Rest assured, we will be back on the air!

Thank you all for your kind words and your support. We love you.

No clue as to their mysterious disappearance from their Pittsburgh flagship station at 104.7FM yesterday. The only official word is that "they couldn't come to terms on their new contract." I did notice the bush league replacement they played yesterday (Bloomdaddy?) was talking about something besides Sunday's Steeler game and was off the air at 9 a.m. Quinn and Rose ran until 10 a.m.

Yes, I was surprised yesterday as well.

Surely there's another station in Pittsburgh that needs a solid morning show, at least I hope so.

If they were smart, they would have streamed their show yesterday and had a podcast available for download, and continue doing their show each morning, in the same fashion.

They have the following to make the format work and to sell syndication of their show. From what I can tell, they have enough dedicated sponsors who would likely gamble on a change in delivery method, and those other stations which wanted to continue carrying the show could do so.

I think The Blaze could use some talent like this. I wonder if anyone has mentioned this to Beck?

Quinn and Rose know Beck personally, I believe. It’s been suggested that this would be a good idea. I agree!

“Couldn’t come to terms on a contract” is radio-speak for two scenarios. First, the station tried to low-ball them on a new deal and they balked. This is highly unlikely, since Quinn and Rose were instrumental to the station’s success. WPGB was one of the first FM outlets that Clear Channel flipped to a talk format and successfully took on the long-time market leader, KDKA. You don’t reward that kind of success with a crappy contract offer, though Clear Channel is often called “Cheap Channel” for a reason.

A more likely scenario: Quinn and Rose are close to signing a better deal with a competitor. Having rejected WPGB’s offer, they will now move to a new outlet. Of course, they may have to sit out a non-compete period, so they could be off the air for up to a year.

Just wondering how KDKA’s morning show is doing in the ratings and if Quinn and Rose could be headed to that CBS-owned outlet?

KDKA will dig up Clark Race and Art Pallan, have them cloned and go back to playing Top 40 before they’d EVER consider having Quinn and Rose on their station.

CBS is just way, way too damned Liberal.
