You Are the Pillsbury Dough Boy |
You are a fabulous cook and love whipping up big holiday meals for the whole crew. Your only problem on Thanksgiving is deciding what to make. For you, Thanksgiving is definitely a time for home comforts and being close to those you love. You enjoy traditions and the people you're with. You definitely look forward to this time of the year. |

((((HUGS))))
On the first night at family camp, the camp director informed the families of the schedule for the week. When finished, he asked if anyone else had anything to say. A young girl stood up and made a passionate appeal for help. She shared about her little brothera boy with special needsand how he could be a challenge to care for. She talked about how tiring this was for her family, and she asked everyone there to help them keep an eye on him during the week. It was an appeal born out of genuine concern for her brother and her parents. As the week went on, it was great to see people pitching in to help this family.
Her appeal was a gentle reminder of how easily we can all get wrapped up in our own world, life, and problemsto the point that we fail to see the needs of others. Heres how Paul described our responsibility: Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others (Phil. 2:4). The next verse reminds us that this is part of the example of Christ: Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.
Our caring displays a Christlike concern for people who are hurting. May we rest in Gods grace, trusting Him to enable us to serve others in their seasons of need.
Too many of those questions don’t apply to me on a regular basis. My roles change depending on whether I’m hosting or visiting family for the day.
If I’m hosting, I cook turkey with all the fixings and do a good job, but I don’t relish it. I’d honestly just rather sit around with family, eat snacks, throw burgers on the grill, drink beer, and watch football.
If I’m visiting, I make a side dish or help the host with the cooking/table setting/clean up.
I definitely do not like to make pies.
You Are Kermit |
It's a time for reflection and gratitude. You also like to just sit back and observe the party. You love Thanksgiving, but having a huge amount of people around can be a bit overwhelming. As long as you're allowed some privacy and independence, you'll have a good Turkey Day. HAPPY THANKSGIVING Y'ALL! |
